Third Party Logistics: Monday Motivation

Dallas Courier, Third Party Logistics

I don’t know about you, but I wish I could skip Monday altogether.

Just the anticipation of starting the week over again gets me down. I’m not the only one, either. Scientists have actually proven the validity of the so-called “Sunday Night Blues”. In a recent survey 78% of those polled admitted to feeling this looming sense of doom on Sunday afternoon and evening as they mentally prepare for Monday.

While Dallas Courier can work as your Dallas Third Party Logistics partner and handle all of your supply chain and transportation needs, we can’t take over your Monday Morning Blues for you. What we can do, though, is give you some great tips for making the start to your workweek just a little bit more bearable. Here are the Dallas Logistics Company tips for #MondayMotivation:

Morning Pep Talk- I am not a fan of senseless meetings, but sometimes a little office get-together can lighten the mood and get you focused on the week ahead. Whether you’re a small business meeting as a unit, or a large business breaking up into department groups, try having a Monday Morning Pep Talk. Highlight a few great achievements from last week, point out a couple big items on the agenda for this week, and let your employees have a little time to catch up with one another before getting back to the daily grind.

Group Stretch- Our Third Party Logistics team is a big supporter of exercise. As we know, exercise increases endorphins, which boost our mood, and makes us want to be in the office just a little bit more than before we got the blood flowing. Try a Monday morning group stretch. Sure, you might look a little silly in your heels or tie doing Warrior One, but it’s a great way to get the juices flowing and release some tension that comes with returning to the office for the start of a long week.

Treat Yourself- As I’ve said before, and I think the Third Party Logistics Dallas team would agree, at least some of them, there is nothing a good chocolate brownie can’t fix. That includes Mondays. Have a sign up sheet where everyone takes a turn brining in a treat for Monday morning. At least you’ll have something to look forward to!

Get Some Sleep- Probably one of the best ways to ensure your Monday goes a little more smoothly is to get enough rest over the weekend, especially on Sunday night. Not only that, it also might make it a better Monday if you wake up 15-20 minutes earlier than normal. This ensure you aren’t rushed, and gives you a little time to prepare for the day, eat a nice breakfast, and get out the door on time.

Lighten the Load- You know Mondays are going to be rough, so why make it harder on yourself? Schedule a light load for the start to the week. Think about all the emails that have been collecting over the weekend. These will take enough of your time. Schedule meetings and clients for Tuesday and on, leaving Monday as a day to catch up from a few days off.

As our Third Party Logistics in Dallas TX folks know, Mondays can get a little hectic! Starting your work week with a little #MondayMotivation, like the ideas given here, can help you stave off those blues and hit the ground running as you start your work week. Remember, too, if you find yourself a little overwhelmed with all your work tasks, you can always call on Dallas Courier to handle your Third Party Logistics Texas and give you a break from your Monday stress everyday of the week!
