New Years Resolution Tips from the Same Day Delivery Team
Our same day delivery team knows the importance of taking things day by day. For example, the Dallas Courier schedule might have just a few deliveries on tap, but give it a few hours, and those super urgent and hot shot deliveries will start to flood in! For clients who can only plan their logistics one day at a time, we’re here for them. In fact, taking it one day at a time is exactly how you should approach those New Year’s Resolutions.
Every year, 40% of adults make some sort of resolution. Young adults (ages 18-24) have a much larger participation at nearly 60%. You know how many of us see those resolutions through to completion? Nine percent. You know how many of us quit after the first week? Twenty-three percent.
The odds are not in your favor, friend.
But you know what? The Dallas Courier team loves an underdog. Just take a look at us! We’ve been serving the DFW Metroplex for over 40 years. We’ve taken on Big Box logistics providers, expanded business throughout the continental United States, and served a variety of clients from nationwide food distributors to one North Texas resident who needed an extra special delivery for her newborn. We served through the pandemic, and even found ways to expand our services to meet the newly forming needs of clients working from home around the country. Big, small, far, and right next door, Dallas Courier Service has been here for decades as a small business with big ambitions and even bigger hearts.
So, yeah, you could say we know what it’s like to persevere.
Today’s post is going to be about just that- persevering through your newly formed resolutions. How can you be sure you’re in that 9% of folks who see their resolutions to the end?
Follow these New Year’s Resolution tips from our same day delivery experts:
Pick one or two:
We probably can think of several things we’d love to change in 2023, but instead of focusing on multiple resolutions at once, pick one or two to home in on. The American Psychological Association says selecting one behavior at a time is more likely to lead to long term success.
Take small steps:
Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is your 2023 beach bod. Break your goal into smaller mini-goals. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, start with the goal of hitting the gym three times a week. Then focus on adding more veggies to your diet. Finally, bring the scale into play and weigh in once every week.
Keep track of your progress:
Call it old fashioned but keeping a journal about your progress can be very motivating and encouraging. When you’re feeling down, or if you have a setback, go back and read about the progress you’ve made so far. You’ll likely find you’ve had small successes along the way.
Talk about it:
Friends and family can help keep you accountable when it comes to your resolutions. Talk about it, post it on social media, or find a support group of people who are making similar goals for the New Year.
Remember: It’s not too late!
Who says your resolution has to come at the beginning of the year? Any time is a good time to resolve to do better and be better. If you fall short, get up, dust yourself off, and go back after it. It’s never too late to make a great change for the better!
If your New Year’s Resolution is to manage your time better, you’re in luck! Dallas Courier Service can help with that! While we offer same day deliveries for clients inside and outside the Metroplex, we also offer scheduled deliveries.
